The former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh has described the recent Looters’ List released by the Federal Government as a witch-hunt. Chief Olisa Metuh said this while answering questions on a program monitored on Channels TV, (Politics Today). On Sunday 1st April 2018
On whether he collected money from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Chief Metuh said, “I did not…. I have never been to the Office of the NSA… I did not collect money from NSA…This is not a fight against corruption but a witch-hunt. You have not established the crime yet you release a list.
According to him, “PDP is not an individual. It is a party. How can you say PDP looted? If a member of PDP has looted, charge him to court because PDP is a party.
Chief Metuh also remarked that this list was just another attempt to intimidate the judiciary, in view of his forthcoming application for leave to travel overseas for medical treatment. According to him, “this is not the democracy that our fore-fathers fought for”.
He also denied been involved in any plea bargain with the prosecuting agency
