Four persons were on Thursday arraigned in an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court in Ogun over alleged assault.

The defendants: Bamgbose Segundo, 30, Bamgbose Kehinde, 27, Bamgbose Kehinde, 24, and Bamgbose Oluwakemi, 24, were docked on a two-count charge, bordering on assault and conspiracy.

The prosecutor, Sgt. i,Chudu Gbesi told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Nov.1, at about 9.00a.m. at Oloko area, Ota.

Gbesi said that the accused persons conspired and assaulted the complainant, one Rashidat Oladimeji.

He said that the defendants beat up the complainant during an argument.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Senior Magistrate, Mr G. E. Akan, granted each of the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case until Dec. 17, for further hearing
