10 best universities to study Law in Nigeria


If you want to study law in a Nigerian University and you are in doubt about which university to choose for your Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, don't worry, we will help you out.

Law is one of the most patronized courses in Nigerian Universities. As a prospective student of Law, you need to be careful in your choice of university as some institutions still battle with accreditation issues.

Lagos State University has a fine history and reputation when it comes to LAW as a course of study. But, University of Lagos has been said to be the only institution in Nigeria with full accreditation to offer Law  according to the Council of Legal Education.

Nevertheless, there are some other Universities endorsed by the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, NIALS in 2013.

These universities according to the Director-General of this Institutes, Professor Epiphany Azinge, SAN, are considered to have best faculties of Law ''after assiduous research and collation of scientific data on Nigerian law faculties''.

“This ranking is not interminable as law faculties that were not captured in the top ten rank are encouraged to improve their standards significantly so as to stand a chance in subsequent years.
