"In any case, on the accepted general legal principles, an employee may be summarily dismissed without notice and without wages if he is guilty of gross misconduct. See Boston Deep Sea Fishing Co. v. Ansell (1888) 39 Ch. D339; Babatunde Ajayi v. Texaco Nigeria Ltd. & Ors. (1987) 3 N.W.L.R. (Pt. 62) 577."
