The leading global Dawah body Discover Islam, Bahrain, in its quest to spread knowledge and technical know-how far and wide among dawah organisations across the world has offered to train Missioners of Nashiru Llahi Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT).
The Missioners led by the Chief Missioner NASFAT, Imam Mahroof Abdulazeez Onike, will be participating in a workshop titled, “Darkness to Light” later this month in Bahrain alongside other Dawah officers invited from different parts of the world.
The training module is the first of its kind to be held by Discover Islam or any other Dawah organisation in the region.
The choice of Imam Abdulazeez Onike Morufu and other missioners of NASFAT namely Imam Abdulhakeem Khidir, Imam Wale Anidu and Imam Uthman Animashaun, is based on the research carried out by Discover Islam on the antecedents of the clerics on Dawah.
While they were found to be currently active in the field of Dawah, they were also selected based on their individual and collective capacity to apply the principles outlined in the workshop in their country.
The 7-day workshop, according to a statement by the spokesman of NASFAT, Mr. Banji Busari, is aimed at equipping the participants with skills to do Dawah to non-Muslims of various persuasions as well as how to deliver effective care and education to new Muslims and to draw an overall new Muslim timeline, among others.
Speaking on the forthcoming workshop, the Chief Missioner said the training is in furtherance of the mission of NASFAT which is to develop an enlightened Muslim Society nurtured by a true understanding of Islam for spiritual development and welfare of mankind.
