The first face off between Technology & The Law!

The #TechLaw Series organised by Mobile Monday Nigeria and hosted by the Honourable Minister for Communication and Technology Barr. Adebayo Shittu held on Monday, 22nd of January 2018 at The Civic Centre, Lagos State. The event had in attendance key stakeholders comprising of lawyers, startups, innovators, government officials and policymakers.
The Minister gave a remarkable keynote address on the emerging Law and Technology Ecosystem in Nigeria after a welcome address by the MOMO Nigeria Patron, Mr. Adebiyi Mabadeje.

The first panel session, which was moderated by Academic Director, Lagos Business School, Dr. Yinka David-West featured Courteville Business Solutions, Dr. Adebola Akindele; Managing Associate, Jackson Etti & Edu, Abayomi Adebanjo; Barr. Seni Adio (SAN); Co-founder & CEO, Flutterwave, Iyin Aboyeji . The speakers deliberated extensively on the topic: Digital Financial Services & Law: Stretching Boundaries to Add Value. It was very insightful and was followed by a robust interactive session.
Prior to this, Co-Founder of MOMO Nigeria, Mayowa Owolabi and Ngozi Aderibigbe, Head, Technology, Media & Entertainment, Jackson, Etti & Edu delivered presentations on Technology: an enabler or competitive edge? and Technology & The Legal Dilemma: Is there a way forward? respectively.

The second panel session was underway after a lunch break with Akinkunmi Akinwunmi of Chris Ogunbanjo Legal Practice moderating and Co-Founder, DIYlaw.ng, Odunoluwa Longe; Former Company Secretary, Old Mutual, Sola Mabadeje; Managing Partner, Team Apt, Tosin Eniolorunda; Bloomfield Law Practice, Ebele Ikpeoyi to discuss Technology and Our Legal future: Emerging Areas, Skills and Ecosystem, after which attendees were allowed to ask questions .
