The National Industrial Court, Abuja, has ordered striking members of Joint Health Sector Unions to suspend their strike and resume work within 24 hours.

Concise News learnt that Justice Babatunde Adejumo gave the order on Thursday after listening to the submissions of Okere Nnamdi in an ex-parte motion filed by a non-governmental organisation.

It was gathered that the NGO, Incorporated Trustees of Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International, in the motion, prayed the court to mandate the workers to resume work and return to the negotiation table.

Thus, Adejumo ordered the ministers of health and labour to set up a committee to look at the issues raised by the health workers.

He also ordered the parties to proffer solution to the issues and avoid throwing Nigerians into more challenges.

This is just as he mandated the President and Vice President of JOHESU to attend the negotiations.

In addition, he said the negotiations should take into consideration the provisions of the National Salaries, Income and Wages Act.
